The 'Winterton Iron' have official meetings every fortnight at 8 p.m. at the Lions Head pub, Park Street Winterton. On the Mondays inbetween there is an informal gathering at the same place to book places on buses for away travel etc.

We have selected certain away matches for coach travel from Winterton

We have sponsored part of the playing kit of Andy Crosby, and hope to do more in this area.

There is an Halloween evening next Wednesday at the Lions Head for the kids

One of the members is manager of one of the local Dale Park youth football teams. Three of us went along to watch them last Saturday and chose a 'Man of the Match'. Stuart presented him with a Scunthorpe Utd. goodie bag with stuff bought from the club shop on the previous day. We hope to do this on a regular basis. We are also organising sponsorship of a claret and blue away kit for this team with 'Winterton Iron' emblazoned on it.

Stuart is very passionate about getting local youngsters to get involved with Scun Utd and has things planned at the local schools. This is on hold at the moment due to Ofsted inspections.

On the evening of the Hull City home game on November 24th there is a 'bit of a do' at Winterton Rangers. Two local entertainers, disco, etc have given their services for free, two burly doormen also are giving their services and we have the Hall for free too. £5.00 per ticket, EVERYONE WELCOME. Giant raffle, many great prizes already secured with many more on the way. All money raied will be split 50/50 between Hull Flood Victims Relief Fund and the Winterton Iron. ALL of the Winterton Iron share will be ploughed back directly or indirectly into Scunthorpe United, sponsorships etc.
Stuart and friends are walking from Winterton to the KC in March for the Hull City away game, hundreds of pounds have already been pledged. Same two causes as the Rangers 'do'

After the Norwich City game on December 22nd Indian food night at The Lion, hopefully running a bus to and from Glanford Park on that day so people can have a pint or two. Stuart feels we could run a bus to home games more often but this is not easy to organise because people like to do different things on match days.

The aim of our group is to promote the club in a positive light particularly amongst the young people, some of them we hoping to catch to become regular supporters of the future and condemn them to a life sentence !!!

Tonight we have a full bus for Sheff Wed, out of them only about 10 have been regular away fans before, so we have managed to get 40 more people approx. on board.

We are hoping to use the Winterton crest on future flags etc,
